We are working with a specialist and highly respected civil engineering contractor to assist them in hiring a Civil Estimator for their growing team in Glasgow.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business delivering complex ground engineering and foundation projects across Scotland and the wider UK. The successful candidate will play a key role in securing new work, supporting continued growth, and contributing to high-profile infrastructure and construction schemes.
As the Civil Estimator your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Preparing detailed and competitive cost estimates for foundation and ground engineering projects
Reviewing tender documentation, drawings, and specifications
Producing take-offs and pricing schedules
Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate quotations
Identifying risks and value engineering opportunities
Supporting bid submissions and client negotiations
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
Proven experience in estimating within civil engineering or groundworks
Strong understanding of foundation solutions and geotechnical principles
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong communication skills and commercial awareness
