Role and Responsibilities – Pastry Junior Sous
As a key part of the pastry department, you will:
– Assist the Pastry Sous Chef in creating exquisite desserts and baked goods
– Oversee your own section and contribute ideas to menus that delight guests
– Supervise and motivate junior kitchen staff
– Manage food production to meet high standards
– Ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols and HACCP systems
– Be involved in stock control and menu development
What We re Looking For
– Proven experience within a similar high-end environment
– Solid knowledge of culinary terminology and advanced pastry techniques
– Good understanding of Health and Safety standards
– Own basic equipment (knives, pallet knives, mini scales, etc.)
– Excellent communication skills and team leadership qualities
