Air Conditioning Engineer – Glasgow/Edinburgh – Up to £45,000 + 36 Hour Week

CBW are recruiting an Air Conditioning Engineer for a forward-thinking, specialist contractor working directly with end-user clients across Scotland’s Central Belt. You’ll be supported by a strong back office, sensible workloads, and systems designed to let you do your job properly.

Salary & Benefits That Actually Matter:

  • Salary up to £45,000 DOE
  • Guaranteed extra earnings – approx. £600/year from call-out
  • 36-hour working week (not 40+)
  • On-call only every 6 weeks (often less)
  • Call-out pay: £100 weekend allowance + minimum 4 hours paid

You’ll work directly with end-user clients across:

  • Hospitality
  • Retail
  • Pharmaceutical
  • Commercial & specialist facilities

Predominantly Central Belt of Scotland, with occasional travel further North

Key Duties:

  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
  • Reactive maintenance & breakdowns
  • Fault finding, diagnostics & repairs
  • First-time fixes wherever possible
  • Safe, high-quality work standards
  • Clear communication with clients & support teams

What You’ll Need:

  • F-Gas Category 1
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience as a mobile Air Conditioning Engineer
  • Strong commercial PPM & fault-finding experience
  • Full UK driving licence
