Job Description

Job Purpose:

To assist the client in preparing a large work unit ahead of a new project start. The role involves general labouring duties including lifting, moving materials, site preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the preparation and setup of a large work unit prior to project commencement
  • Operating a forklift to safely move materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Manual handling duties including lifting, shifting, and positioning items
  • General housekeeping tasks such as tidying, clearing, and organising work areas
  • Assisting with activities both inside the facility and outdoors on site as required
  • Working in line with all health & safety regulations
  • Supporting supervisors and colleagues to meet project deadlines

Requirements:

  • Valid forklift licence (essential)
  • Previous experience in a semi-skilled labouring, warehouse, construction, or industrial environment preferred
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling
  • Reliable, conscientious, and able to follow instructions
  • Good understanding of health & safety practices
  • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors depending on site requirements

Rates and hours:

  • 15.00/h PAYE, plus 1.81/h holiday accrual
    or
  • 20.09/h via umbrella company
  • 39 hours per week

Initial contract is 4 weeks with a chance of extension
