Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Technician to join the UK largest Systems Integrator, working on the installation and assembly of control panels for industrial automation projects.
This hands-on role is ideal for someone with strong practical electrical skills and experience working with industrial control systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assemble, wire, and install electrical control panels for industrial automation systems
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts
- Install components such as PLCs, HMIs, drives, relays, contactors, and power supplies
- Carry out panel wiring, trunking, gland termination, and cable management
- Perform electrical testing, fault finding, and commissioning support
- Ensure all work complies with electrical standards, quality procedures, and safety regulations
- Support site installation activities when required
Required Skills & Experience:
- Time-served Electrical Technician or relevant electrical qualification
- Proven experience building or installing industrial control panels
- Ability to read and work from electrical drawings and schematics
- Experience with industrial automation components (PLCs, VFDs, sensors, I/O)
- Good understanding of electrical safety and best practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
