Booth Welsh have a contract opportunity for a site based Instrument Engineer to work on a client’s site based in Dalry!
We are looking for someone who
- Has a strong background in chemicals or other regulated industries
- Possesses excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Can navigate complex systems and processes with ease
- Is passionate about optimizing manufacturing processes through instrumentation
- Demonstrates strong communication skills to collaborate across departments
- Has experience with different aspects of Instrument Engineering including design
As an Instrument Engineer you will:
- Lead the integration of cutting-edge instrumentation in our expanding manufacturing lines
- Collaborate with R&D to implement precise control systems for new product development
- Optimise existing processes to enhance product quality and production efficiency
- Troubleshoot complex issues, ensuring minimal downtime in our 24/7 operation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, directly impacting our bottom line
- Mentor junior engineers, contributing to a culture of excellence, drive and innovation
- Ensure all instrumentation meets stringent regulatory requirements
- Spearhead technical meetings and provide critical input on project planning
- Conduct and chair alarm reviews, vital for maintaining product quality and plant safety
- Represent the engineering team at Factory Acceptance Tests and PID reviews
