Overview
My client is a leading supplier of steel frames for industrial, commercial and residential buildings across the UK. Due to continued demand, they are looking for a skilled Fabricator/ Welder to join their team in Edinburgh. You will be working on a variety of fabrication projects, producing high-quality metal components and structures to specification.
The Details:
- Hours: 50 hours per week, 6 days over 7 (Monday Saturday)
- Shifts: dayshift
- Location: Edinburgh
- Contractual rate: £14.00 £16.50 per hour, depending on experience.
- Contract: Permanent
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform MIG welding
- Fabricate components according to specifications and drawings
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Conduct assembly tasks to ensure product integrity
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and safety
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
About You:
- Proven experience as a fabricator/ welder, minimum 3 years
- Competent in MIG welding
- Able to read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Good attention to detail and pride in your work
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Health & safety conscious
