Quality Engineer
Location: Fife
Contract: 13-week Temp-to-Perm
Sector: Aerospace Manufacturing
First Achieve Engineering Recruitment agency are actively seeking an experienced quality engineer to join a well-established aerospace manufacturing company based in Fife. This role is offered on a 13-week temp-to-perm basis, providing an excellent pathway to a permanent position within a highly regulated and forward-thinking environment.
You will play a key role in maintaining and improving quality standards across manufacturing operations, ensuring full compliance with aerospace regulations and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO9001 and relevant aerospace standards
- Support internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory audits
- Investigate non-conformances and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Review and approve First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
- Work closely with production, engineering and supply chain teams to drive quality improvements
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business
- Assist with supplier quality management where required
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in a Quality Engineer role within a high volume manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace quality systems
- Experience with FAIRs, NCRs, CAPA and root cause analysis tools
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
