Cable Jointers
Power & Infrastructure Resourcing are looking for an experienced Cable Jointers for upcoming works in Dundee & North Scotland.
Location: Dundee & North (Monday Friday)
Duration: Approx. 6 months starting March 2026 (likelihood of additional works to follow)
Hours: 10 hours per day, Monday Friday (competitive rates + tax-free subsistence)

Key Responsibilities

Carry out jointing and terminations on LV, 11kV, and 33kV cables

Install and commission new cable systems, including straight joints, breach joints, and terminations

Work on both live and dead LV networks when authorised

Read and interpret network drawings and work instructions

Ensure all work is delivered safely and in line with DNO standards and company policies

Complete risk assessments on site and maintain high standards of site safety

Liaise with site teams, third parties, and clients to support project delivery

Maintain accurate records including test results, job sheets, and as-built information

Report incidents, near misses, and hazards promptly in accordance with SHEQ requirements

Use and maintain tools, equipment, and PPE to required standards

Support apprentices and less experienced colleagues where needed

Ensure all work meets required technical and quality standards
Skills & Experience Required
-
Minimum 3 years experience as a Cable Jointer working on LV and HV networks up to 33kV
-
Strong understanding of DNO jointing practices and safety rules

Ability to interpret electrical drawings and work instructions

Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Strong awareness of Health & Safety practices
Qualifications & Authorisations
-
Recognised Cable Jointing qualification for LV and HV networks (City & Guilds 2322 / 2339 / 2304)

DNO Authorisations up to 33kV

NRSWA Operative
-
First Aid
-
Manual Handling and Working at Height training
-
Full UK driving licence
-
Excavator tickets (desirable)
