Civils Supervisor
- Annual Salary: 40k – 50k depending on experience
- Job Type: Full-time
- Location: Blantyre
This role is crucial for ensuring that all works are carried out to programme while maintaining compliance with Health & Safety standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for material and plant requisition, maintaining daily sheets/site checks, and reporting back to the contracts manager.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee 2 to 3 projects, depending on size, ensuring all works are carried out according to the planned programme.
- Maintain strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations and ensure all practices on site are compliant.
- Manage material and plant requisitions as needed for project execution.
- Conduct daily site checks and maintain accurate daily sheets for ongoing projects.
- Report project progress and any issues directly to the contracts manager, ensuring effective communication and resolution of concerns.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- SMSTS/SSSTS certification.
- CSCS (Gold) card.
- NRSWA certification is desirable but not essential.
- First Aid at Work (FAW) certification.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the groundworks/civil engineering sector.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring standards and deadlines are met.
