About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to join our team and inspire young people to lead active, healthy lives. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality PE lessons across a range of age groups and abilities, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and wellbeing in line with Curriculum for Excellence (CfE).
Essential Qualifications and Requirements

A relevant degree in Physical Education or Sports Science (e.g. BEd, PGDE in PE, or equivalent).

Full registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS).

Demonstrated experience teaching PE within Scottish schools or an equivalent educational setting.

Strong understanding of the Curriculum for Excellence, particularly within the Health and Wellbeing framework.

Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Commitment to inclusive practice and promoting participation from all learners.
Desirable
-
Experience in extracurricular coaching or leading school sports teams.

Additional coaching qualifications (e.g. UKCC Level 1/2 in relevant sports).

First Aid certification.
