Job Description

SC Cleared Platform Engineer

Initial 6-month Contract Role

£550 – £600, Inside IR35

ECS Resource group are currently working with a World’s Leading Technology Organisation who are looking for a Platform Engineer where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software infrastructure.

As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Contribute across the platform lifecycle, from requirements to development, testing, and documentation.
  • Maintain and improve core development tools, infrastructure, and automation systems.
  • Support teams with tooling, workflows, and best practices.
  • Use cloud, microservices, and DevOps to build a scalable, reliable platform.
  • Troubleshoot issues to ensure system performance and stability.

Collaborate with a cross-functional team, bringing adaptability and a learning mindset.

Please note, the below requirements are essential and candidates without this will not be considered:

  • Active SC Clearance (essential)
  • Proven experience working as a Platform Engineer/SRE
  • Proven experience with programming/scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript etc.
  • Proven experience with Cloud platforms, containers, microservices, DevOps and IaC
  • Proven experience with Automation, monitoring and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
