Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing mechanical fitting tasks on marine vessels
- Conducting maintenance, repairs and installations on various equipment
- Ensuring all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure project targets are met
- Documenting and reporting work completed and any issues encountered
- Adhering to project deadlines and maintaining a high level of workmanship
Job Requirements:
- Experience in shipbuilding/shiprepair or ex Royal Navy
- Strong mechanical fitting skills
- Relevant qualifications (NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or equivalent apprenticeship)
- Current SC Clearance is essential – will required confirmation form UKSV
Working Hours:
- Normal dayshift: 08:05 to 16:45 Monday to Thursday, 08:05 to 12:05 Friday
- Overtime available project dependant
- Maybe a requirement for AWP (Alternative Working Pattern): 12-hour shifts on a 21-day rotation
- One rate all hours – 39/h Umb co or 29.12/h PAYE plus 3.51/h holiday pay (can be accrued or advanced)
