Job Description
STEM Recruitment solutions have an exciting opportunity for four temporary Laboratory Technicians to support a busy laboratory site in Penicuik for approximately four months, covering workload through to Christmas/New Year.
Role Overview
Successful candidates will work within a UKAS-accredited laboratory, following good laboratory practices. Duties will include:
- Handling and processing samples on receipt
- Laying, drying, and milling soil samples
- Sample disposal and stock rotation
- Basic soil analysis (including texture assessments)
Details
- Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, 09 00
- Pay Rate: £13.42 per hour
- Experience: No prior laboratory experience required ideal for those looking to gain experience in an accredited lab. Must be hard-working, reliable, and comfortable with a high volume of manual tasks, particularly soil milling.
