Role Responsibilities Driller:
- Operate Drill Rigs and equipment to bore holes to precise depths and measurements according to drilling plans
- Conduct pre-start checks and ensure all machinery is operated in line with health and safety regulations
- Change drill bits, hammers, and manage lifting and moving of equipment as required on-site
- Record and monitor drilling data using a drilling log system
- Work as part of a close-knit operations team across multiple quarry sites
- Identify and report any near misses, accidents, or potential hazards to maintain a zero-harm environment
- Maintain a proactive and professional attitude while adapting to different site layouts and conditions
Key Requirements:
- Ideally some prior experience in drilling downhole drilling preferred, but top hammer experience also acceptable
- We will also consider applications from Driller s Mates looking to take the next step in their career
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential due to site travel)
- Flexibility to work across different sites and adapt to changing operational demands
- Eager to learn and develop within a technical and highly regulated environment
- Able to work independently and as part of a team in all weather conditions
- Health & Safety-conscious with a positive attitude to compliance and continuous improvement
