Job Description
On behalf of our client, a well-established and forward-thinking food manufacturer, we are recruiting for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join their leadership team at their Glasgow site.
This office-based role is highly strategic in nature and requires a commercially minded individual who can balance operational efficiency with long-term planning and cost control. The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders to drive continuous improvement, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead production performance across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead manufacturing operations with a focus on strategic planning and performance optimisation
- Oversee production targets, team development, and departmental KPIs
- Ensure adherence to food safety and regulatory standards (e.g. BRCGS, HACCP)
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality
- Monitor budgets and drive cost-effective improvements
- Support the execution of business-wide initiatives and capital projects
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior manufacturing/production role within food manufacturing
- Strong commercial awareness and budget management experience
- Demonstrable leadership and communication skills
- In-depth understanding of food safety standards and compliance
- Degree in Engineering, Food Science, or similar field preferred
