Freight Import Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of freight shipments. This position requires a strong understanding of ocean freight operations, documentation, and trade terms.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the complete Multimodal Freight Operations process from quotation to delivery.
- Provide competitive quotes for shipments, ensuring maximum profitability.
- Communicate effectively with shippers, hauliers, and carriers throughout the transport process.
- Manage key accounts efficiently, ensuring smooth handling from booking to successful delivery.
- Prepare and manage all necessary documentation accurately and on time.
- Handle customs import and export documentation with precision.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by addressing their inquiries promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in freight operations.
Strong understanding of ocean freight documentation and procedures.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
