Maintenance Manager required for a well-established manufacturer who have a strong reputation for high quality service and are committed to providing environmentally friendly energy solutions. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to play an integral role within a stable company.
This role would suit a mechanically biased or multi-skilled engineer with management, supervisory or equivalent experience. Candidates from any industrial background are encouraged to apply. This role will involves working in a production environment with heavy machinery. You will need experience managing maintenance projects which will include managing budgets and timeframes.
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing a team of 12, consisting of fitters and electricians, who are responsible for maintenance activities across the site. You will oversee the planning of maintenance schedules which will include regular communications with the production team to ensure plant efficiency.
The Maintenance Manager Role:
Overseeing a team of 12, including a Maintenance Supervisor
Day to day coordination of the team, providing leadership, mentorship and identifying training and development opportunities
Responsible for overseeing H&S compliance
Continuous improvement of PPM system
Budget control for engineering and facilities
Liaison with stores department to prevent maintenance delays
Planning of annual shut downs
Production of maintenance, budget and team metrics reports
Recruitment and training of maintenance team
Hands on support to the team where required
Maintenance Manager Candidate:
Mechanically biased or multiskilled
People management experience motivating teams, planning, decision making
Any industrial engineering background
Hold a Level 3 SVQ (or equivalent) qualification in an engineering field
