Job Description

Search are supporting the recruitment of a Credit Controller to join our client’s Edinburgh office with hybrid working If you’re an experienced Credit Controller who enjoys building strong working relationships and looking to join a supportive team, then you’d be encouraged to apply.

Your responsibilities will include:
Monitoring aged debt reports and distributing updates to stakeholders
Managing and updating credit control processes with accurate recording
Attending meetings with senior stakeholders regarding outstanding balances
Resolving client queries promptly and professionally
Negotiating and securing payment of overdue or disputed invoices
Liaising with wider teams to revise or amend invoices where necessary
Appropriately escalating unresolved debts within agreed timeframes
Identifying accounts requiring provision for bad debt
Meeting strict deadlines and contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance function

Skills and experience that will benefit your application:
Previous experience in a credit control role
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Confident working independently and as part of a team
High attention to detail and accuracy
