We’re supporting a well-established manufacturing client in North Lanarkshire in their search for a highly organised Supply Chain Planner to join their growing supply chain team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth production operations through effective material planning and inventory management.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Convert weekly production requirements into material call-offs and purchase requisitions.
  • Manage and maintain production schedules in line with customer demand and stock targets.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely material delivery and resolve any delays or shortages.
  • Monitor and manage material stock levels to ensure availability while avoiding overstocking.
  • Regularly review safety stock levels, order quantities, and lead times.
  • Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Prepare and present regular updates on material availability, stock levels, and supplier performance.
  • Use data to forecast material needs based on demand trends and usage history.

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in a planning / scheduling / material control role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP.
  • Confident Excel user and data-driven decision-maker
  • Proactive communicator, comfortable working across departments and with suppliers
