Dear Employer,

I’m a trained Signmaker (Germany) with over 15 years in Event Services & Hospitality (also seven years of experience in Customer Service & Tech Support, Europe-wide). 
This role looks like a great opportunity to have a local full-time job in the hospitality sector. And since I live near this location, it’s a feasable commute.

I’ve enrolled in the Springboard Lifeskills Destination Hospitality Course at KUSI Kirkcaldy, incl. Work Placement (TBC). It runs from 29th January - 1st March and consists of 5 weeks training + 1 week work experience (plus interviews with local hospitality, leisure, and tourism enterprises). 
If possible, it would be ideal if you could consider me for a work placement, as well. During this course, I’ll receive careers advice, learn about CV and interview techniques, job searching, and complete qualifications recognized by the hospitality industry (including Food Safety, Certificate for Personal License Holders, and World Host Principles of Customer Service).

From when I was at school, I often worked at kitchens, cafes/ bars, stalls, and fairs, to make and sell sweet or savoury products, and some of my family are chefs or work in hospitality jobs. That’s why I’m very interested in learning & developing further, to specialize in this field. Then, I am well-versed in the preparation of food & beverages and organising. I have long years of experience in serving meals, general kitchen and dining room duties (washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables), and cleaning of the kitchen, its surroundings and equipment. Also, I know basic admin from being self-employed and would love to create healthy meals in my role.

Here in the UK, I've also assisted with production and before that, worked in various roles in a small hotel in northern Norway for a summer season (reception/ booking, housekeeping, waiter, kitchen hand/ pot washer, menu writer, assistant line chef, breakfast cook, baker, etc.). And just recently, I've been a kitchen assistant/ starter & dessert chef/ baker in Cornwall and a Hotel General Assistant (kitchen, housekeeping, etc.) in West Scotland.
