Job: Site Engineer

Location: Head office Falkirk, projects throughout Scotland

Employment: Full time, permanent

Contract Scotland have a unique opportunity for a Site Engineer from a civil engineering background to join a specialist civils contractor who provide technical expertise to a multitude of sectors across the construction industry. Our client specialises in the restoration and enhancement of concrete structures, ranging from bridges and wind turbines to tunnels, aqueducts, and heritage-listed buildings. With a diverse clientele including primary contractors, subcontractors, and end clients, they stand at the forefront of their field, offering you exposure to a wide array of projects.

You should be an excellent leader and have great interpersonal skills, as well as the following:

  • Implementing strategies as discussed with management.
  • Experienced working with RAMS.
  • Checking design plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
  • Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site.
  • Develop method statements and risk assessment.
  • Keeping accurate records, including a diary, of all site activities.
  • Supporting the team, and any other site engineering duties as required.

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • A Civil Engineering related degree.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Site Engineer in civil engineering projects.
  • Experience an Engineer working on concrete repairs is desirable.
  • Appropriate knowledge of health and safety polices.
  • Excellent communication and liaison skills.
  • Valid CSCS.
  • A full UK driving license.
  • Flexibility for travel and occasional working away.
