Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager required to join a leading mechanical engineering supplier in Scotland.
The successful Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development will focus on developing new business opportunities and managing key accounts for mechanical engineering equipment such as pumps, valves, pipework and other related products / systems.
The successful Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager will ideally have experience selling or managing key accounts of mechanical engineering products such as hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, compressors, valves, pipework.

Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager Role
- Develop new business opportunities and manage key accounts for mechanical engineering equipment such as pumps, valves, pipework and other related products / systems.
- Maintaining pump product and system sales with demonstration, exhibition, and negotiation to achieve targets.
- Responsible for pre-sales technical assistance as well as providing end solution / application support for all customer needs / requirements.
- Provide after-sales support services and provide technical back up as required to customers within a variety of industries such as energy from waste, chemical, water, pharmaceutical, steel and more
- Work remotely / field-based covering North Scotland with regular visits to customer sites.
- Liaise with various engineering departments.
Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager Requirements
- Experience as a Key Account Manager, Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Technical Sales Engineer or similar within a mechanical engineering environment.
- Experience selling or managing key accounts for mechanical engineering related equipment such as such as hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, compressors, valves, pipework and or similar products / systems is highly desirable, however having sold similar mechanical products into related industries is also of interest.
- Full clean driving license.
- Willingness to operate remotely with travel to customer sites across the North of Scotland.
