Deputy Director, Heat in Buildings – Lead Clean Heating

Job Description

Scottish Government’s Directorate for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) seeks a substantive Deputy Director on level transfer to lead Heat in Buildings. The post oversees a division of about 110 staff with 7 line reports and requires engaging senior internal and external leaders to accelerate Scotland’s decarbonisation of homes and buildings.

The role combines policy, regulation and delivery work, including leading a Heat in Buildings Bill and a Delivery Plan to 2030.
