Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Nightshift)
Lanarkshire Permanent 4 on 4 off
NT Engineering & Manufacturing are recruiting a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a well established manufacturer in Lanarkshire. This is a permanent night shift role on a 4 on 4 off pattern.
The role
You ll maintain a wide range of production equipment and carry out general maintenance and installation work within the site s planned preventative maintenance system. On nights you ll be working on your own initiative, handling breakdowns and fault finding to keep downtime at 2% or below.
Day to day you ll be:
- Carrying out PPM in line with the maintenance schedule
- Responding to breakdowns and emergency work, fault finding and identifying root cause
- Logging all work, time and materials through the CMMS
- Communicating downtime and corrective actions to the Lead Engineer and Production
- Working to Food Safety, Health & Safety and GMP standards, with a clean as you go approach
- Spotting improvements on lines and machinery and getting involved in CI projects
What you ll need
- Qualified multi skilled engineer
- Experience in an FMCG environment, ideally including food manufacturing or processing
- A self starter who s comfortable working independently on shift
- Lean or continuous improvement experience would be an advantage
