Description
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems to meet project requirements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with project specifications.
- Conduct analysis and testing to validate design performance and reliability.
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing.
- Collaborate with suppliers to source appropriate materials and components.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations in designs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.
- Support troubleshooting and problem-solving during the manufacturing process.
Profile
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical design principles and practices.
- Proficiency in CAD software for creating detailed designs and drawings.
- Experience in designing for industrial and manufacturing applications.
- An understanding of materials and their applications in mechanical systems.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail in design and analysis.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Job Offer
- Salary ranging from £50,000 to £55,000, dependent on the level of experience.
- Permanent position within the engineering and manufacturing sector.
- Working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours, with flexibility around start times.
