The Vacancy Join us as a Sessional Supervising Social Worker at Quarriers shared lives family placement and fostering service! Your new opportunity
To provide professional social work support, supervision, assessment and development to foster carers and Shared Lives carers within the service. The Relief Supervising Social Worker will contribute to the recruitment, assessment, training and retention of carers while promoting positive outcomes, safety and wellbeing for children, young people and adults accessing the service. The postholder will work flexibly to provide cover during periods of annual leave, sickness absence, increased demand or service development activity.
Working pattern
It is a sessional role. There will be travelling required for visits and panel meetings, this means the successful candite will need to have a full UK driving licence with daily access to your own vehicle.
What you will need to bring to the role
- Qualified Social Worker
- Desirable practice teacher/link worker
- Registered with SSSC.
- Knowledge of and/or experience in Family Placement (Adult Placement & Fostering).
- Knowledge of Disability issues, particularly as they affect social care.
- Ability to work as part of a team and with other agencies.
