School Janitor
Kilmarnock
13.75ph – 15ph
ASAP Start
We are currently seeking a Janitor for work in a School in Kilmarnock. This is a 6 Month contract with option to move into a permanent contract after.
The work will be rota based 37 hours hours a week over the following shift patterns:
Early Shift 07:00 – 16:00
Lates Shift 13:00 – 22:00
Main duties will be:
– Fire alarm testing
– Opening/Locking up
– Assisting cleaning team
– Small planned maintenance tasks, including escorting contractors
– Maintenance of daily staff attendance records/ signing in book
– Preparing halls and rooms for a range of uses
– Snow clearance and gritting
– Ensuring graffiti is removed or covered as soon as possible
– On call – emergency out of hours response maybe required
Full training on duties will be given, however previous experience in Janitorial role or Building caretaker role is advantageous.
Work is in a school so you must be able to pass a PVG Criminal record check before starting. We will put you through this.
