Peterson are looking for a Transit Driver
Responsibilities:
– Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods and materials to designated locations
– Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
– Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries
– Communicate with dispatch to receive delivery instructions and updates
– Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays
– Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, reporting any issues or concerns
– Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries
Requirements:
– Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
– Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo
– Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with dispatch, coworkers, and customers
– Proven experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver preferred
– Familiarity with local roads and traffic regulations in the area of operation
– Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service while on the job.
