About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join a team as a Trainee Butcher. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn a skilled trade in a hands-on environment, working alongside experienced professionals who will support your development every step of the way.

Whether you’re looking to start a new career or build on existing food industry experience, this role offers full training and the chance to grow within a well-established business.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and cutting of meat products

• Learning butchery techniques including boning, trimming, and portioning

• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety

• Supporting with stock rotation and inventory checks

• Serving customers and providing product advice when required

• Keeping the work area clean, organised, and compliant with health regulations

• Following all company procedures and safety guidelines

What We’re Looking For

• A genuine interest in butchery and food preparation

• Willingness to learn and take direction

• Good attention to detail and manual dexterity

• Ability to work well in a team and under pressure

• Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards

• Previous experience in a food or retail environment is beneficial but not essential

Training & Progression

Full training will be provided, with opportunities to progress into a qualified butcher role for the right candidate. You’ll gain valuable skills in meat preparation, customer service, and food safety.
