Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for an Principal Outfit Engineer to add to their talented, hardworking team in Scotstoun on an initial 6 month contract. Striving for innovation and creativity you can ensure no two days will be the same. This role will be offering 45.05 Umbrella per hour
The role:
Lead all activities required to meet the Zonal Review programme and Compartment Plan Approval process, including Compartment design and integration activities in line with all relevant processes and quality requirements.
Line management of members of the engineering team
Manage product safety hazards within area of responsibility to ensure equipment and system comply with whole ship safety requirements
You:
Good experience in engineering or a defence related industry.
Possesses good knowledge of all aspects within current discipline
Able to perform analysis using recognised analytical tools and to make sound judgements
Has sufficient capability to be able to make correct trade-off decisions
Good Experience in a Ship Design environment.
