Are you an experienced Press Operator looking for a rewarding opportunity in Inverness? We are seeking a skilled individual to operate and maintain our plant and machinery, ensuring top-quality standards and adherence to Health and Safety policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate & Maintain Machinery: Ensure all plant and machinery meet expected standards and comply with the company’s Health and Safety policy.
- Record Keeping: Maintain adequate records as required by the Quality Assurance manual.
- Area Maintenance: Monitor and control your working area, carrying out maintenance and checks as needed.
- Equipment Monitoring: Track operating parameters, log abnormalities, and report deviations or process interruptions to relevant personnel.
- Fire Safety: Monitor fire-fighting equipment in collaboration with the fire team leader.
- Planned Maintenance: Ensure Planned Maintenance is conducted according to manufacturer recommendations.
- Cross-Department Communication: Effectively communicate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Safety Systems Development: Assist in identifying hazards, conducting risk assessments, and creating Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) for all tasks.
- EHS Compliance: Follow operational Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) procedures and report all EHS incidents.
- Risk Assessments: Carry out and communicate risk assessments for all required tasks.
- Policy Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in monitoring and quality assurance, assessing and communicating risks at the operational level.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Press Operator or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of machinery operation and maintenance.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and logs.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with various departments.
- Experience in hazard identification, risk assessment, and developing Safe Systems of Work.
- Commitment to following EHS procedures and reporting incidents.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
