Job: Mechanical Supervisor/Mechanical Project Engineer

Boyd Recruitment are currently recruiting a Mechanical Supervisor/Mechanical Project Engineer on a permanent basis for a principal M&E contractor in Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is already an experienced Supervisor who is looking to move into a project engineering role.

Our client are delivering a large commercial project in Glasgow and require an experienced Mechanical Supervisor ideally with a SSSTS and Heating Engineering background.

The Job

As a Mechanical Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day mechanical installations on a commercial project.

Duties include:

  • Site Inductions and issuing permits
  • Leading teams of Heating Engineers and Plumbers
  • Managing and implementing Health and Safety procedures
  • Reporting on progress and liaising with Main Contractor
  • Attend site meetings and conduct toolbox talks
  • Responsible for all paperwork and handover

The Candidate

The Successful Mechanical Supervisor will have:

  • On site delivery experience as a Mechanical Supervisor/Foreman
  • Overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of Mechanical systems and their installation methods
  • Ability to plan, prioritise workloads
  • Heating Engineer background
  • Commercial experience
  • A valid SSSTS /SMSTS
  • Full UK Driving license
