Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Supervisor/Manager to oversee the mechanical installation phase of a large construction project in Inverness. This is an on-going contract opportunity with the role requiring previous expertise in heating and pump systems, with a proven ability to manage teams and deliver high-quality results on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the mechanical installation works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.

  • Oversee subcontractors and onsite teams, ensuring work is executed efficiently and to the highest standards.

  • Inspect and monitor mechanical systems such as heating and pumps, ensuring proper installation and functionality.

  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth progress and address any technical issues.

  • Prepare progress reports, maintain site records, and ensure all documentation is up to date.

  • Promote a safe working environment and enforce adherence to health and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor/Manager, preferably within large construction projects.

  • Strong technical knowledge of heating systems, pumps, and associated mechanical installations.

  • Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (e.g., HNC, HND, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).

  • Familiarity with construction health and safety regulations.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams effectively.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.

  • Flexibility to adapt to project requirements and deadlines.
