Job Description
Overview:
A dynamic and growing landscape and environmental consultancy is seeking a Landscape Architect / Landscape Planner to join its team. This role focuses on renewable energy projects, pumped storage, and electricity transmission infrastructure supporting the transition to net zero. The successful candidate will play a key role in Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) and provide landscape architectural support across various projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct site visits, landscape and visual surveys, and photography.

Undertake background data collection and baseline studies.

Prepare figures, visuals, and presentation materials in multiple formats.

Contribute to written inputs, including LVIA chapters and technical appendices.

Collaborate with environmental disciplines, including in-house EIA Coordinators.

Participate in internal and external meetings.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Degree / Master’s in Landscape Architecture or related field).

Strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills.

Experience in feasibility studies, optioneering, and LVIA work.

Basic understanding of the UK planning system, planning guidance, and landscape planning processes.

Detail-oriented and well-organised.

Ability to establish effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.

Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and eager to learn.

Adaptable with strong problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under tight deadlines in a collaborative environment.
Desirable Skills & Experience:

Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute.

Proficiency in graphic software (AutoCAD and ArcGIS experience preferred; other graphic software knowledge is beneficial).

Interest in renewable energy and grid sectors.

Full, clean driver’s licence preferred due to potential travel requirements.

Appreciation of the outdoors is advantageous.
