Injection Moulding Setter

£30-£33k (inc shift allowance)

Double Day Shift

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Setter with expertise in injection moulding to join our fast-paced Tier 1 Manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for changing over injection moulding machines and associated ancillary equipment, ensuring all processes are completed efficiently and in compliance with health and safety standards. You will also support toolroom and technical departments when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently change over tooling and equipment across a variety of injection moulding machines to meet the production schedule.
  • Conduct tool tryouts post-changeover and ensure parts meet the required quality standards.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly focusing on LOTO and working at heights during setup.
  • Perform planned maintenance tasks when needed.
  • Prepare tools, equipment, and materials for production, minimising downtime.
  • Support production operations as required to maintain smooth workflow.
  • Start-up and shutdown of injection moulding machines, following manufacturer guidelines.
  • Actively participate in a team-based environment, contributing to overall success within the Plastics Manufacturing unit.
  • Adhere to the company s 5S culture and maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
  • Promote and support continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with the technical team.
  • Ensure personal and team compliance with Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven technical experience working with injection moulding machines in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • IMT2 qualification is desirable.
  • Experience with 3-axis robots, especially Wittmann systems, is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
  • High levels of literacy, numeracy, and computer literacy.
  • A flexible, hands-on approach to support production needs.
