Minibus Driver – Social Care

Hays are proud to be working on behalf of a reputable organisation based in the heart of Southend-on-sea who are recruiting for a minibus driver for their organisation. This role is a 30 hours a week contract (occasional overtime available if you wish) and is a temporary to permanent position.
This company provides support to vulnerable individuals with a range of disabilities such as mental health conditions, learning disabilities, autism, Cerebral palsy and physical disabilities in a day centre setting.
Your new role
You will be responsible for picking up service users from their home or residential address and transporting them to the day centre for their day of activities and stimulation. You will also be responsible for giving service users lifts and transporting them to different activities throughout the day, and then dropping them home individually at the end of the day. You will be assisted at all times by a Support Worker and will have all support plans on board with you.
This is a 30 hours a week contract, and you will be required to work from 7:30am until 10am and then from 2:45pm until 5pm, however a few days a week you will work in the day to transport to and from the activities. A rota is given in advance, so you know your shifts.
What you MUST have to succeed
You MUST hold a UK driving licence with a D1 Licence (if you passed your driving test before 01/01/1997 you will automatically have this)
You MUST be 25 years of age or more.
You MUST NOT have any more than 3 points on your licence
You MUST have the right to work in the UK and be based here as we do not offer sponsorships.
You MUST be a kind, passionate and caring individual with a passion to support others.
You MUST be able to drive a manual car.
