Maintenance Officer Job, Based in Glasgow, 3 months plus, paying £18/20 per hour (PAYE) (DOE)

Hays Recruitment is currently working on behalf of a reputable Housing Association based in Glasgow, which is dedicated to providing high-quality affordable housing to those in need. We are looking for a Temporary Maintenance Officer to join the team for an initial period of 3 months with a good opportunity of extension until at least the end of March 2024.
Your new role:
As the Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of the Housing Association’s stock to a high standard. You will carry out a range of tasks, including reactive and planned maintenance, supervising repairs and upgrades and liaising with contractors and tenants. You will also contribute to the development of maintenance schedules and ensure that all relevant regulations and standards are adhered to.
What you’ll need to succeed:
To succeed in this role, you will need to have relevant experience in a maintenance or similar role, as well as a good understanding of health and safety regulations. You will be self-motivated and able to work well independently, as well as part of a team. Good communication and organisational skills are also essential, as is a full UK driving licence.
