Regional Building Surveyor MRICS Scotland & The North

Your new company
Hays has partnered with a market leading construction firm to bring this Regional Building Surveyor role to the market. You will be working within a team to conduct surveys on a national portfolio of properties across Scotland, Northern Ireland and the North of England.
Your new role
You will be working closely with the client, pre-construction and operational management teams to develop estate and home improvement schemes. As the Regional Building Surveyor you will be playing an important part in ensuring investment is directed to the right areas of the property portfolio. You will be working to achieve net carbon zero on the properties you manage as well as bringing them up to an enhanced operating standard.
This role involves extensive travel across the UK. The ideal candidate enjoys taking ownership of their territory and thrives when working anonymously and with little direction. You will take an informed and proactive approach to decision-making and time management.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will have the flexibility to plan your workload, having the responsibility of managing the projects programme, accurately documenting the process timescales from inception, pre-construction & approvals, through to completion onsite.

  • Strong technical building surveying, you will be happy to spend a lot of time out on site and travelling minimum 3 days each week
  • Excellent Communication, with the ability to influence our wide range of stakeholders
  • Solid IT skills with good attention to detail
  • Self-motivated to drive projects forward, offering technical solutions and sustainable enhancements to support the clients carbon reduction targets
  • Full & Clean driving Licence
