Trainee Estates Manager required to support a leading university in Edinburgh 12 months FTC

Trainee Estates Manager required with experience in Scheduling and Timetabling.
My client are a leading university based on the outskirts of Edinburgh. They have an exciting career development opportunity for a professional and confident manager/supervisor looking to grow and specialise in their skills within the public sector. This is a 12-month fixed term contract that will likely lead to a permanent position at the end. (Performance dependent) This role would be ideal for a senior administrator or HR manager looking to develop their career.

The role will be acting on behalf of the Estates and Assets team within the University, leading a team of officers whilst offering support to the various faculties across their remit. You will report to the Head Of Estates offering advice and acting on ever-changing scheduled tasks. This position will be taking control of managing/adapting the university timetabling to meet operational needs whilst offering a strong service to students.

This is a highly dynamic and fast-paced role where you will be trained in how to operate systems and databases. Any experience with timetabling or curriculum management/scheduling would be advantageous.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in either a university/ college, Leisure, Admin or school environment managing busy schedules. Strong IT skills are a must alongside a high level of communication and professionalism – as this position involves dealing with senior members of management and stakeholders within the university.

Training on specialist systems and databases will be provided by existing members of the estates team. You will join a leading team who will help aid your learning while you become a specialist in Estates and Timetabling.

This role offers hybrid work after training. However, due to the in-depth nature of the training and development required to do this position successfully, you will be expected to be in the office for the first month.

The salary for this position is £37-41k p/a with a strong holiday and benefits offering.
