Quantity Surveyor/ Estimator Required for SME contractor in Inverness
Your new company
Working for a building contractor in the Highlands, you will join them to provide commercial support as a Quantity Surveyor/ Estimator. This role is permanent, offering a competitive salary and an immediate start.
Your new role
In your new role you will work on tendering works, a mixture of competitive tender and negotiated works. At project commencement you will work to keep track of the financials as the project develops. A key member of the team you will closely with the on-site managers, wider commercial and operations team to ensure financial milestones are met and issues are dealt with quickly to minimise risk. You will allocate costs, procure sub-contractors, measure works for payment and produce financial reports.
What you’ll need to succeed
Ideally you will have experience in a Quantity Surveying or Estimating role and be able to work well as part of a tight knit team. You will have strong IT skill – especially in use of excel. A qualification in Quantity Surveying at Degree level would be preferred, however applicants will be considered based on their experience. Strong communication skills are key for negotiating and problem solving.
What you’ll get in return
In return you will join a reputable independent construction company with a passion for delivering high quality work. You will be paid a competitive salary in the region of £40,000 – £45,000 based on your experience level. You will be entitled to a company vehicle or allowance. Annual bonuses are regularly paid, pension contributions and holidays. Work will be local to the Inverness area, with office base in Inverness.
