Receptionist – Lockerbie – Temporary Appointment – Up to £13.00/ Hour – Immediate Start Available

The company is looking for a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to manage the front desk and perform daily administrative tasks. The candidate will be responsible for greeting visitors, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, performing clerical duties, creating and updating accurate records. You will ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming.
To be successful in this role you must have experience in a relevant administrative position, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, excellent organisational and time management skills. If you have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a professional attitude and the ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.
• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the office
• Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
• Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
• Receive, sort and distribute mail/deliveries
• Schedule and plan meetings and appointments
• Arrange travel and accommodations
• Perform other clerical duties in support of the core operations of the business
• Create and update accurate records
• Ensure reception area is tidy and welcoming, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
• Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk
• Monitor level of supplies and handle shortages
• Keep updated records of office expenses and costs
• Plan for and organise refreshments for staff and visitors
• Other duties as required by the post
