Fantastic opportunity for a Quality Manager with automotive experience, Lanark

Quality Manager, Glasgow
Responsibilities:
The Quality Manager will work closely with the site team, group function heads and will collaborate with stakeholders in group-wide projects
• To ensure that, as a minimum, the Company’s Health and Safety and Environmental Standards are implemented across the site
• Through the Quality Team and in conjunction with the site leadership team, ensuring that IATF16949 is thoroughly implemented across the site and that all colleagues are fully competent to deliver its requirements
• In conjunction with the Design and NPI teams, ensure that there are robust processes in place that deliver a high standard of FMQ and that appropriate work instructions are in place to transfer these processes into manufacturing effectively and efficiently
• In conjunction with the Manufacturing, MP&L and other on-site teams, ensuring that robust processes are in place for CMQ
• To promptly co-ordinate the resolution of 8D s ensuring that the root cause is identified, and corrective actions are implemented. To ensure that actions are communicated internally and externally to the satisfaction of customers
• To develop, implement and review plans to reduce the site’s cost of non quality
• To be a key driver within the business for continuous improvement activities

Key Skills / Experience / Qualifications:
• Proven leadership skills
• Highly effective communicator
• Detailed working knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO9001
• Knowledge of automotive QA practices such as APQP, 8D, PPAP
• Proactive, assertive, resilient and enthusiastic
