Electrical/Building Services Clerk Of WOrks required to support leading public sector organisation in Dundee

Freelance Clerk Of Works required for long term freelance project in Dundee. The successful candidate will likely be offered a permanent contract based on performance. (Initial 6-9 month project)

City & Guilds Electrical Installation Certificate/Qualification or similar required.

Your new company

Your new company is a prestigious public sector organisation based in Dundee who play a critical role in supporting their local communities. With exciting plans to build, upgrade, and refit various public buildings across their estate. They are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Clerk of Works to head up several projects on a long term freelance basis.

Your new role

Working across the organisation your role will be to plan, oversee and execute a multitude of medium to large projects such as domestic and commercial renovations and upgrades. With specific focus on design and fitout. As a Clerk of Works a key part of the role will be to plan , coordinate and deliver multiple projects across the organisation. Working as part of their capital works construction team with an opportunity for flexible working, this role requires high level of communication and a deep understanding of modern H&S and construction management.

What you’ll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will be an experienced individual ideally within public sector CoW roles with a broad range of project history across public buildings. You will have strong IT and communication skills and understand how to operate professionally within a public sector environment. Your role will liaise with multiple internal and external stakeholders such as your strategic managers and members of the local community so a problem solving mindset is essential.
