Principal People are delighted to be working with a large construction engineering company to recruit for Group Assurance and Systems Manager to join their core safety Team.

Group Assurance and Systems Manager £60,000-£65,000 + Company Car/Car Allowance + Package Scotland to London Construction Engineering ID: (phone number removed)

As the Group Assurance and Systems Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and updating processes to ensure ongoing compliance with our Integrated Business Management System (IMS).

You will lead efforts to maintain accreditation to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and ISO 44001 standards, alongside maintaining crucial company accreditations including Rail Industry RISQS, Network Rail Principal Contractor License, and Plant Operating Scheme License.

The Group Assurance and Systems Manager will be Responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining a compliant Business Management System, ensuring legislative compliance and alignment with ISO standards.
  • Leading external audits to ensure zero major non-conformances, and continually reviewing and updating the system to reflect business changes.
  • Maintaining the organisation’s accreditations and ensuring compliance with client and SSIP schemes.
  • Developing and maintaining an audit strategy, completing audit reports in a timely manner, and promoting awareness of legislative and industry standards across the business.
  • Providing business development support, including leading continuous improvement projects and supporting tender responses.

The Group Assurance and Systems Manager will hold:

  • Excellent working knowledge of ISO standards, with recognised lead auditing qualification.
  • Relevant professional qualification and significant experience in Quality and Compliance management.
  • Proven ability to inspire and lead multi-disciplinary teams, with excellent communication and networking skills.
  • Experience in the construction and rail industries, with NEBOSH and IEMA Associate certifications preferred.
  • Good IT skills, specifically Microsoft Office suite, and a full driving license.
