Physician – Non-Invasive Cardiologist

SCHEDULE:
– Full-Time
– Monday to Friday

COMPENSATION:
– $375,000 to $575,000 Base Salary, dependent upon experience

COMPANY PROFILE:
Having opened its first office more than 20 years ago, this organization is now the largest physician-led outpatient medical practice in the greater NYC metro area. In addition to robust primary care offerings, they also operate specialty service lines in cardiology, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, allergy and immunology, dermatology, and more. Their large staff of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants are supported by dedicated team members, utilizing resources such as on-site laboratory services.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is a non-invasive cardiology role providing services that include, but are not limited to, diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care, and health maintenance.

Specific duties of the role include, but are not limited to:

  1. Review patient histories and perform physical examinations
  2. Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and care for disorders/diseases of the cardiovascular system
  3. Perform a wide range of non-invasive cardiology procedures
  4. Diagnose patients with the aid of diagnostic images, electrocardiograph recordings, etc.
  5. Heart disease early prevention screenings
  6. Cardio and vascular disease early prevention detection screenings
  7. Metabolic and peripheral vascular disease testing
  8. Echocardiography and stress echo testing
  9. Pacemaker and defibrillator monitoring
  10. Provide quality clinical diagnostic skills in the delivery of patient care
  11. Review all test results and recommend suitable management for patients
  12. Prescribe medications
  13. Formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans
  14. Provide relationship-centered care, taking into account psychosocial and physical needs
  15. Collect and record patient information, such as histories, reports, and examination results
  16. Maintain complete and accurate medical records
  17. Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care
  18. Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings

A variable number of patients per day are seen, based upon provider preference for patient volume and types of appointments scheduled.

All visits are prepped and supported by dedicated clinical assistants.

The practice utilizes the Epic EHR.

REQUIREMENTS:
– New York medical license
– DEA
– Board Certified or Eligible, Cardiology
