Electronic Assembly Technician
Location Airdrie
Duration 3 – 6 months / possible Temp to Perm
Hourly Rate – £Competitive DoE
Hours of work Monday to Friday 39 hours per week

ESS Recruit is working in partnership with our client, established in 1985, that specialise in the design and manufacture of bespoke data acquisition, control, and measurement systems for use by industrial and military customers worldwide.
Due to an increase in workload, they seek to make the key hire of an Electronic Assembly Technician, to be based on their site in Airdrie.
Reporting to one of the business partners, you will wire, assemble, and test complex product and test equipment for multi applications within a number of industries including Renewables, Military and Subsea Sectors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintaining company soldering and build standards, at all times
Building complex electrical / mechanical assemblies through the application of reading technical drawings and specifications.
Wiring and soldering to IPC 610
Solder electrical and Electronics to IPC J-STD-001
Rework, repair and modify electro-mechanical assemblies, test units and products
Produce circuit layouts from electrical schematics.
Actively participate on joint fault diagnostic and root cause analysis on component and product failure
Develop experience in working directly with clients and their technical requirements
Work through a number of Training and Development programs based on previous work experience and academic achievement
Actively develop technical understanding and academic development throughout the course of your career
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have an ONC / HNC in Electrical / Electronic Engineering. That said, candidates who have an apprenticeship or work experience in a similar role will be considered.
In addition, you will demonstrate an understanding of Drawing Packages and Schematical Diagrams as well as the ability to read technical data to interpret the information in order to produce technical specifications and operating instructions.
