At Edinburgh Leisure, our mission is clear: to transform lives and communities through physical activity and wellbeing services. As a Registered Scottish Charity, our impact resonates across the city, with nearly 5 million customer visits annually and a dedicated team of approximately 1,100 employees.

Our Vision: To create opportunities for people to get active, stay active, and achieve more.

We are seeking two passionate individuals to join our Board and drive our vision forward. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in the following areas:

Health & Wellbeing Specialist:

  • Qualified medical practitioner
  • Experienced practitioner in the Health & Wellbeing field
  • Experienced professional working with the NHS

Sport & Physical Activity Specialist:

  • Sport development specialist with a track record of driving participation and engagement in sport & physical activity
  • Expert in athlete pathways and the sporting system
  • Professional who supports others in using sports & physical activity to achieve better outcomes (sport for change agenda)

The positions are voluntary and require minimum attendance at 6 Board meetings per year. As a Board member, you will receive Governance training and play a crucial role in guiding our organization.
