Meraki Talent’s client is on the lookout for an Application Support Engineer to join their team. They are a niche software house who are continuously growing across the finance sector – offices in both Glasgow and Edinburgh!You will be joining a small team to provide 1st and 2nd line application support across the business ensuring that all escalated tickets are resolved. You will be working closely with the 1st line Engineers, providing support, mentorship and guidance to ensure they have the correct skills to resolve all tickets that they receive. Responsibilities of the Application Support Engineer –

  • Respond to escalations from both internal stakeholders and external customers
  • Hands on 2nd Level incident support when required
  • Monitor and coach performance to improve productivity
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs across all customers

Background of the Application Support Engineer –

  • Strong experience with MS-SQL/Azure SQL
  • Experience within a similar role providing 1st and 2nd level support
  • Strong communication skills as speaking with stakeholders and customers
  • Exposure to scripting would be beneficial but not essential – PowerShell/Bash
