Administrator / Digital Print Operator

A leading print group is looking for a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail to be based at one of their client’s sites in Glasgow, and be responsible for the full end-to-end process of each job.

This dual function style role will require you to predominantly work as administrator for the client’s onsite printroom. You will be responsible for the day-to-day processing of orders through the online ordering system. Estimating jobs and either producing them through the print room or through partnered suppliers will be a key part of this role.

There is also a requirement for you to provide back-up/holiday support for the onsite printroom operator. This will require printing, guillotine, folding, mailing, and benchwork of all orders. Training will be given for this part of the role.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for keeping up to date and trained in all procedures
  • Knows all essential aspects of the building and workplace services
  • Responsible for ensuring accuracy when recording any data or financial information whether electronically or by hard copy
  • Responsible for complying with health and safety and site operational procedures
  • Ad-hoc tasks as requested by the Leadership and Management team
  • Ability to always maintain a positive attitude and professional tone
  • Ability to interact with employees and clients effectively with tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle situations with sensitivity and tact
  • Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive approach to work with an eye for detail
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Organisational skills and a methodical approach to dealing with the varied needs of the client
  • Strong IT skills, competent in Microsoft Office 365 applications to intermediate level
  • Ability to learn quickly and follow core processes

Applicants must be resident in the UK and have recent or current experience in the print, packaging, or paper sectors.
